Dr. Jordan Tishler addresses the cannabis bill that was drafted by Senators Schumer, Wyden and Booker. Nowhere in the entire draft of this bill are patient’s rights even mentioned. Dr. Tishler offers the perspective that legalization of cannabis should include some provisions for the proper care of people who are actually sick and whose needs are not well served by a purely recreational oriented market. With a proposal as sweeping as this, now is the time to consider all of the needs and ramifications.
