A new home builder has a lot of weird things in their purchase contract and there is NO question that their contract is one-sided. But, at the end of the day builders and in the business to build home and not take peoples money or kick them out of the contract.
I would highly recommend getting a Realtor that is a new home specialist - someone who understand builders and can walk you through the process. 90 - 95% of buying a new home comes down to communication.
