The Freedom Convoy protest in Canada grew VERY strong, as tens of thousands of Canadians protest their nation's covid mandates. Meanwhile, here in the U.S., there are reports that truckers are organizing our own Freedom Convoy to descend D.C.
It got me thinking... What exactly would happen if the trucks just stopped?
According to CDLlife.com, this is how it would go down in just the first week:
🚛 In the first 24 hours:
Hospitals will run out of basic supplies such as syringes
Service stations will begin to run out of fuel
U.S. mail and other package delivery will cease
Manufacturers using just-in-time manufacturing will develop component shortages
Automobile fuel availability will dwindle, leading to skyrocketing prices and long lines
🚛 In the next 2-3 days:
Food prices will skyrocket, as groceries can't restock
Supplies of essential non-perishables like powdered milk and canned meat will disappear
Garbage will start piling up in urban and suburban areas.
Service stations will completely run out of fuel
Container ships will sit idle in ports without trucks to offload them
🚛 Within a week:
Roads will be empty due to a lack of fuel
Hospitals will begin running out of oxygen supplies
Congressman Jim Banks put it perfectly, just how much we depend on truckers:
"Society would come to a screeching halt without truckers. They are the backbone of our supply chain and should not be subjected to authoritarian mandates."
