4 OCT 2026 · In this episode, I had a conversation with Tom Mitchell about functional treatment and American healthcare. We talked about American healthcare when it comes to functional treatment. What is functional treatment, and proper care when it comes to patient care? We discussed US healthcare and issues that we, as patients and providers, face when it comes to the disconnect in patient care. We talked about programming the body to match the mind, and how resilience gets built before you need it. We discussed how people show up with pain, weight they can't shake, or fatigue that won't quit, and the real work is syncing the physical systems with the mental patterns that keep them stuck. Why people wants root-cause answers, not more generic wellness noise? A little about Tom Mitchell, he is Clinic Director at Chicago Institute for Health and Wellness, and has spent 20 years practicing functional medicine with one stubborn question behind everything he does: what's actually wrong, and why? He brought together chiropractic care, applied kinesiology, functional movement, and clinical nutrition, including some training concepts that he developed around neuro-stabilization. I've broken multiple national bench press records and a world record in the World Drug Free Power-lifting Association, so when I talk performance and recovery and is speaking from under the bar, not just behind a desk. It was a great conversation, and I hope that you enjoy and learn from the conversation. 27 SEP 2026 · In this episode, I had a conversation with Jobert E. Abueva about The Janus Plan: Beating the Procrastination Trap. We spoke about procrastination traps that keep people from reaching their goals, moving on from negative situations, overcoming low self-esteem, self-love, self-respect, self-worth, self-value, self-confidence, and believing in yourself when no one else does, and lowering yourselves to build other people up. When many people think about procrastination, they think about people who are lazy and have no inspiration. He breaks down the Janus Plan when it comes to beating the procrastination traps that are keeping you from reaching your goals and the path, purpose, and journey that you are meant to be on. He spoke on mindful cleansing & global rituals when it comes to detoxing the mind from the past and things that are keeping you stagnant, stuff, and procrastination. We spoke on why people's New Year's resolutions are broken by February. How to go about overcoming fear and insecurities that keep you procrastinating and quitting? How can our relationship with our parents be the cause of not doing the things that you can actually do, due to making you feel less than what you are, and breaking your self-esteem and self-worth? A little about Jobert E. Abueva: he is an MBA, TEDx speaker ("Beyond Resolutions: The Art of Beginning with Intention"), and award-winning author whose work has appeared in The New York Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Jobert is warm, articulate, and deeply relatable. Instead, he developed a flexible, 6-step framework—inspired by Janus, the two-faced Roman god of thresholds and transitions—to help people reflect on the past, clear mental and physical clutter, and build sustainable life momentum without punitive pressure. This was a great conversation, and hopefully there will be a second conversation coming soon. 6 SEP 2026 · In this episode, I have a conversation with Brian Parker about his product ELIXIR and the four parts of energy. He goes into his journey from being a doctor to creating his energy drink ELIXIR. We went very much in depth about energy when it comes to healing and recovery, as far as your health and wellness internally and externally, sleep, mental, and emotional. He developed a science-backed framework called The Four Energy Leaks: Alertness, Momentum, Attention, and Recovery. He identifies where their energy is actually being lost and how to take it back, without relying on the usual advice to just sleep more, exercise more, and do more. A little bit about Brian Parker, MD, MBA: he is known as "The Energy MD," is an Internal Medicine Physician and CEO of Total Elixir who developed a science-backed framework called The Four Energy Leaks: Alertness, Momentum, Attention, and Recovery. 30 AUG 2026 · In this episode, I had a pre-conversation with Ama K. Karikari about silence abuse, pain, and suffering when it comes to relationships, as far as family, romantic relationships, and friendships. She tells her story about what she experienced in her 15-year marriage and the silence abuse that she experienced during the marriage. We talked about the damage of silence when it comes to abuse, pain, and suffering from the people that you love. How can silence mean that you are allowing and giving permission for people to hurt, abuse, neglect, manipulate, and take advantage of you? How can silence be harmful to the point that it affects your self-esteem and how you see yourself? How did she overcome the silence abuse, and get out of the marriage? What was the breaking point that made her leave? How can silence be abusive, and no one think that it is abuse? A little about Ama: she is a TEDxGeorgeSchool speaker, author of Silenced to Soaring, transformational guide, attorney, and founder who helps women understand covert emotional harm and reconnect with their voice. Her perspective is shaped by work with women’s leadership, educational, and community audiences, along with studies at Harvard, Penn Law, and Wharton. It was a beautiful conversation that I wanted to share with my audience when it comes to overcoming adversity, pain, abuse, trauma, and suffering due to silence. The second part is coming soon. 23 AUG 2026 · In this episode, I continued my conversation with Angela Jenkins about weight loss and digestive health. We talked about the misconceptions about dieting and digestive health. We spoke about why eating “healthy” still is not enough for so many people, especially in midlife, and how symptoms are often clues instead of problems to suppress. We talked about America when it comes to chemicals in our food and processed food, even though it seems healthy, but it really isn't. We talked about weight loss when it comes to the reasons why you are losing weight that can lead to gaining the weight right back. We talked about how even though some people look, eat, exercise, and seem healthy externally, that doesn't physically mean that they are healthy internally. The stereotype in society standards when it comes to external health and wellness, and physical appearance. We talk about the importance of mental and physical communication when it comes to decisions, actions, behavior, and choices that will impact and affect your health and wellness. We talked about understanding how detoxification, gut health, inflammation, nutrient status, environmental exposures, and lifestyle all work together. A little about Angela: she is the founder of Health Is Local and a Registered Dietitian with 30-plus years of clinical experience. I teach a root-cause approach through what I call The Root Cause Lens, helping people understand how detoxification, gut health, inflammation, nutrient status, environmental exposures, and lifestyle all work together. My focus is real food, practical detoxification, and helping people restore energy, clarity, and confidence. It was a great conversation, and I hope that you guys enjoy it. 16 AUG 2026 · In this episode, this is part 2 of the pre-conversation I had with Vincent Van den Broec about the near-fatal scooter accident that could have unalived him and could have left him paralyzed. The Zoom went, and it divided the recording and video into 2 parts. We talked about how he overcame his diagnosis through determination, drive, dedication, and the will not to let what the doctors told him make him feel sorry for himself. We talked about how we self-sabotage ourselves by believing what others say negatively. We talked about the importance of the connection between the mind, body, and spirit as far as how we deal with pain, trauma, and suffering. We talked about how he could have given up and instead chose to fight his diagnosis, his wives, and his loved ones' support. We talked about how we can program the body to be on the same page as your mind as far as what it wants it to do. How the mind and body are not on the same page, how we are impacted and affected by our decisions, choices, actions, and behavior, and the consequences, repercussions, and karma that come with them. How he e spent three weeks in a coma, had part of his skull removed, and had to relearn how to walk and talk from scratch. We also talk faith and second chances at life, and not waste your second chance at life. The psychological reality of that recovery, and what it did to his family watching from the outside, is raw in a way that will hit your listeners hard. What is important about his story is the fact that he doesn't believe trauma changed him. He believes it tested what was already there. Resilience isn't something you find in the dark, he says. You build it long before you need it. He is currently writing a book about his journey of adversity, healing, and recovery. It was a great and powerful conversation that made me have to post this conversation of faith, adversity, resilience, drive, and belief that led him to a full recovery. I hope you enjoy this conversation. Part 2 of our conversation is coming soon. 13 AUG 2026 · In this episode, I spoke to the founders, Amanda and Jessica, of the company Little Seed Match about helping women who are unable to have children through natural childbirth. They tell a beautiful yet painful story of how Jessica was unable to have a child naturally and made a hard decision to have a surrogate carry the baby for her. Amanda was the surrogate that she and her husband chose. They both tell their stories from the surrogate's and the women who will be raising the child's perspectives. We talk about the importance of the relationships between the mother-to-be and the surrogate. How they became friends through this journey to build a business to help women, as far as the surrogacy journeys lack: transparency, emotional support, and real human connection. Through their journey with bringing Oliva into the world through surrogacy, they built a business that bridges the gap when it comes to making choosing a surrogate more personal vs a transaction. A little about their company Little Seed Match, they founded it after living through what so many surrogacy journeys lack: transparency, emotional support, and real human connection. After completing our own independent surrogacy journey together, and staying close long after Olivia’s birth, we saw that surrogacy did not have to feel transactional to work. Little Seed Match helps intended parents and surrogates build trust-based, relationship-driven journeys rooted in alignment, communication, shared values, and emotional safety, which speaks directly to people rebuilding trust after painful, life-altering experiences.italso helps intended parents and surrogates build trust-based, relationship-driven journeys rooted in alignment, communication, shared values, and emotional safety, which speaks directly to people rebuilding trust after painful, life-altering experiences.
