Mr. Daniel went to the USC School of Law where he graduated in 1965. His political aspirations led to a run for governor representing the Democratic party. Mr. Daniel won the Democratic runoff election for the Lieutenant Governor seat and defeated State Senator Tom Turnipseed. He ran for governor as the Democratic nominee in the 1986 election.
