Calling All Detectives was a crime drama radio show with a twist: in addition to the weekly story, Paul Barnes, who played all of the voices in the program, would call a telephone number and have the person who answered try to figure out the mystery. These calls were cut when the show was syndicated, The only other person on set was the sound effect person. The show aired from 1945 – 1950.
