Since then, Rick has turned his experience into an career as an inspirational life coach, helping others in his same situation; gay or bisexual men with kids who may be struggling to live their authentic lives. Rick also discusses how he helps queer men and dads use the strength they found to come out of the closet to do other tough but rewarding things, like finding the perfect job, creating healthy relationships, and raising your kids the way they want. 3 AUG 2022 · You may know proctologist Dr. Evan Goldstein as New York City's "Butt Doctor," or maybe as the gay dad who appeared in a Postmates commercial talking about the best foods to eat as a bottom (youtube.com/watch?v=qmSX7NjsDKA) But performing and discussing anal surgery is just one of the ways he helps queer men maintain their sexual health. As a gay dad-of-two and the founder of Bespoke Surgical in NYC, Dr. Goldstein has a lot of solid sexual advice for other gay dads, whether single or partnered, tops or bottoms.
This episode, GWK host David Dodge and Dr. Goldstein discuss everything gay men wish we had been taught in sex ed., like the best way to douche before anal sex to maintain a healthy microbiome, how to properly use lube, and how tops can be more considerate to bottoms. This episode, hear an inspirational story of resilience with Nigel Sellens, a dad in Australia who came out as gay after he and his ex-wife had had six kids, the youngest of whom is a special needs child. Nigel tells host Brit Smith how he handled the experience of coming out as a father, how he dealt with the aftermath, and how he kept parenting through it all. While Nigel says coming out when you’re already a dad is no easy feat, for him, having his children during that very difficult time of self-reflection was actually his saving grace.

Initially, the Joly family underwent an onslaught of negativity from both the media and the parenting community, but they have since found strength in their new identity as a queer-centric family.
On this episode, Jonathan tells GWK host David Dodge about his childhood in Ireland, his early experiences as a non-binary person, and how he created an imaginary world full of acceptance which inspired his new book; "All My Friends Are Invisible." This episode, we delve into the ongoing legal case of husbands Corey Briskin and Nicholas Maggipinto, who are suing the City of New York after their city-based health insurance plan rejected their bid to have a child through in vitro fertilization (IVF). According to their lawyer Peter Romer-Friedman, Corey and Nicholas' case shows that New York City "categorically excludes gay male employees from receiving in vitro fertilization benefits under the City’s health plan," while affording the same benefits to heterosexual couples, singles, and lesbian couples.
