NDDC!!! THE YOUTHS ARE TO BE BLAME.......
    BY: Deprof Godfrey

The grilling of Sen God'swill Akpabio the minister in charge of NDDC and the acting chairman NDDC is the right step in the right direction. It's with lamentation I write on this issue emanating from the polity, not because of the misappropriation of the whopping sum of over 82 billion Naria, but because the youths of my generation are still swimming in the mockery waters of political slavery.

We saw three different protests spearheaded by youths, which cut across the globe as a result of this NDDC probe. The scholarship beneficiaries of NDDC protested at the Nigerian Embassy in the UK showing displeasure on the modus operandum of the NDDC thus the abandoning and non-payment of their tuition fees which resulted to them been stranded. Back home at the front gate of the national assembly, we saw some Nigerian youths protesting and urging the house of the representative committee on NDDC to leave no stone unturned in the probing. On the other side of the divide, we saw yet another set of supporters all youths showing solidarity/support for the God'swill Akpabio lead NDDC. They believe and trust the administrative workings of the present NDDC management, stating clearly the probe was a witch hunt.

Who then is the problem of Nigeria? 🇳🇬 the youths or the leaders?
Protest and counter-protest are all show of interest. The youths aren't ready to have a unanimous viewpoint on trending political issues as it affects the polity. The youths have shown over the years that just a piece of silver can buy them over. We are all social media warlords, all we do is cry foul play on social media yet behind the scene we are sycophants, betrayals, bootlickers, brownnosers etc.
Nigeria will continue to remain in darkness until the youth decides to sit up.

This politicians care less about our wellbeing. The youths are brought over during elections and even when these same politicians are milking the nation dry as obvious as it is, the youths are still bought over.

Imagine the Acting NDDC boss was spending funds not captured in his budget. He had the gods to say 1.34 billion Naria not 1.5 billion Naria as alleged was used in taking care of themselves. About 345 million was paid to locals to identify places that needed NDDC projects etc And all I see outside the National Assembly are youths showing solidarity for the management of NDDC.

According to Sen Akpabio, millions of Naria was transferred to over 500 bank accounts captured in a document the probing panel refused to look into because they know they might be indicted. He also alleged that the National Assembly are beneficiaries of contracts awarded thereby giving credence to the indictment of Hon Tunde Ojo the chair of the panel that stepped aside. Yet youths were outside showing solidarity for the embattled management of NDDC.

    Who is to blame?
I keep saying it, this country is rich enough to pay the present minimum wage to all Nigerians above 18 years. But what do I know?
Same politicians or public office holder that looted billions will tell you Nigeria is broke.
Nigerians especially the youths celebrate mediocrity a lot, and it's high time we stopped. Hence we are heading to doom.
    Youths!!!
Don't be relevant for carrying placards in support of what you are affiliated to be it right or wrong, but be pertinent enough for the liberation of Nigeria from falsehood.
