8 NOV 2014 · Changing Domain Names & Changing Facebook Page names midstream. Bad! Episode 12 of War Stories from the Music Front with Michael Brandvold and Loren Weisman.
Episode 12 of war stories discusses a pretty big problem that has shown its ugly head in cases both with the smallest and biggest artists: Changing Domain Names and Changing Facebook Page Names as well as switching social media pages with out thinking it over first.
With the footprint and blueprint you leave your fans or those just finding out about you, shouldn’t those links lead them to you? When simple changes are made that seem harmless, the results of changing domain names and changing social media page names can lead potential fans away from you as well as making you come off very unprofessional.

30 JUL 2014 · Videos you don't want seen. Marking the private videos correctly. Episode 11 of War Stories from the Music Front with Michael Brandvold and Loren Weisman.
Videos you don't want seen. Marking the private videos correctly Episode 11 of War Stories from the Music Front with Michael Brandvold and Loren Weisman.
Episode 11 of war stories discusses those videos you don't want to be seen. And no, we aren't talking about dirty stuff. We are talking about marking the private videos correctly for the labels, investors, management or those couple you want to have it viewed by.
Unlisted videos do not mean private and if you are working to roll out a video on a specific timeframe and you don't make it private, your fans will get a glimpse at the videos you don't want seen or at least not yet.
Those small steps can make the biggest difference. Be sure what you post is being seen only by those you want to see it. Its still a crap shoot with anything you post, but by taking the right steps such as making videos private and uploading videos the right way, you have a better chance at getting the views you want from the people you want.

26 APR 2014 · Kickstarter Campaigns - Why crowdfunding doesn't work most of the time. Episode 7 of War Stories from the Music Front with Michael Brandvold and Loren Weisman.
Episode 7 of War Stories focuses on kickstarter campaigns and many of the mistakes that are made with crowdfunding. When it comes to asking for money, you need to think about exactly what it is going to cost to do what you want. A music business plan even on the most basic level can help you not only achieve the funding you need but help you to avoid underfunding as well. Too many see it as just free money, a viewpoint that will only hurt any kickstarter campaigns you could be involved with. Take the steps to make a plan, stand out rom the others, offer up the incentives for people to give and consider exactly what you are going to need in order to make your project work and you will create much better chances at having your kickstarter campaigns get both funded and completed in tne best way possible.
