28 OCT 2022 · From NatalieWhy I am running for Idaho House District 22I am running because I am an everyday Idahoan, born and raised right here. My whole family lives, owns businesses, recreates and gathers here. I teach and own a house in the same neighborhood of Southwest Ada County, Legislative District 22. I love this state and am ready to get to work, giving back to the place and people that have given so much to me.I love and care about people. As a middle school teacher, I am well versed in leading, meeting people where they are, inspiring self-advocacy, and encouraging everyone to find their voice. My training as a theatre artist has taught me to care about the stories of others, to find a way to relate no matter how different we may be, and present those stories as though they are my own. This is the work of a Legislator. https://www.patreon.com/DigOnAmerica

17 OCT 2022 · Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969), was a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court interpreting the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.[1] The Court held that the government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless that speech is "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action".[2][3]: 702 Specifically, the Court struck down Ohio's criminal syndicalism statute, because that statute broadly prohibited the mere advocacy of violence. In the process, Whitney v. California (1927)[4] was explicitly overruled, and Schenck v. United States (1919),[5] Abrams v. United States (1919),[6] Gitlow v. New York (1925),[7] and Dennis v. United States (1951).[8] were effectively overturned. https://www.patreon.com/DigOnAmerica
