Over the 17 years it took to research and fill in the missing pieces, for Avery to hone her craft, and Earthell to accept the truth of what happened, the two women formed a deep and meaningful friendship. Earthell, whose faith has only deepened since sharing her story, encourages others to do the same—to tell their stories and turn the page.
