4 FEB 2022 · The public school system, students and parents have been through so much in the past two years. How will they ever recover? The students are behind, teachers are burned out and parents don't know where, when or how to help. I've heard horror stories about going to school and teaching school that I just had to get on here and talk about it for a few minutes.

23 OCT 2021 · YaSheema joins one of her clients on an Instagram LIVE where they talked about issues surrounding kids and sex. They discussed age-appropriate conversations to have and what type of information we should be talking to our kids about. We both agreed that you can’t wait until they ask to talk and if you’re waiting until 13 to talk about the birds and the bees, you’re late!! 13 OCT 2021 · Women have the knack to keep going until we're sometimes forced to take a break! In this episode, Sheema is telling moms to take a break woman!! African American women have sometimes been made to feel like we are not allowed to take a break and that we have to continue to operate at a pace that is not humane and healthy in any way. Our examples have not always been the best but we have also failed to realize that we were engaging in self care by having parties, going to church, listening to music, etc. Self care is not selfish it is necessary!

21 JUL 2021 · It's funny when I start working with a new parent coaching client and when they begin to tell me what's going on. They immediately start talking about all of the "things" their child is doing and all of the problems their having. They want me to help them fix their child and I'm sitting their thinking hell...there's nothing wrong with your child! You're the problem. Let's talk about parent accountability and responsibility in the problems we complain about.

26 MAY 2021 · Join Sheema and some of her friends for a real girl talk about black women and mental health. For so many years black women didn't have the luxury of going to therapy or better yet being vulnerable enough to even talk about feeling depressed, anxious or that something wasn't right. I don't know how many times I've heard or been told lies such as "black people are too strong to be depressed" or "therapy is for white folks". The stigma that runs rampant in our community and society has left many black women suffering alone without the help and support they need and deserve. In this one hour conversation, we are opening the door of opportunity to share, be vulnerable and just talk about mental health. My guests Dr. Max, Shameka Allen-Lane, Meeka Thompson and Joy Benson share their experiences and their thoughts from their hearts.

21 MAY 2021 · There are so many kids who are suffering alone at home or in the streets because they have identified themselves as LGBTQ-I and their families don’t accept them. Coming out can be one of the most difficult things to do especially when you know loved ones who will no longer accept you. It’s hard enough for youth who identify as LGBTQ-I in society so home is the last place they should be bullied, hurt, or mistreated.
