Episode 2: Parenting Continued and Grandparents
28 MAY 2024 · We will discuss how spiritual cleansing can help with parenting and grandparenting. This helps you as a parent to listen to understand, rather than listening to reply. Sometimes when we talk to our kids, we can sometimes put things on them that is not theirs and what I mean by that is for example, kids won’t eat certain foods because we as parents have raised them to think or believe it is not good for them without letting them be free to make that choice for themselves. Being raised in the South, in a Primitive Baptist church, I didn’t understand what or how I was supposed to feel having a relationship with God. I only knew I could and should go to church and so throughout the week, there was a lot of sinning and on Sunday, I was right back in church asking for forgiveness because I thought that was how it went but as I got older and started to learn more spiritually, that process didn’t work for me anymore, I started to feel nothing at all, not even a desire to attend service because it was pointless if I was going to continue to sin, not only that, see the people in service at the same places I was attending so I strayed away very hard. But again as I got older, wiser and stronger in knowing who God was and all he had for me, once I experienced the true love of God, I was intrigued, I wanted more. God saved me from so much and I am grateful.
