Streaming services are now ridiculous. We pay a streaming service to watch their shows and they now serve us ads. Tivo and cable were, in fact, better. We watched what we wanted when we wanted and fast-forwarded through the ads. So why don't we go back?
Café Bastille in San Francisco is closing...because of lack of business. Restaurants all over Vegas are closing. They're blaming a lot ... but what' s really to blame? The cost. And our habits have changed post pandemic. So where are we eating now?
Verizon went down and millions across the country had no phones. Why don't we all have satellite phone capability or minimally why don't cell phone companies have satellite backup?

One of the key campaign questions, according to a survey I got over the weekend, many believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. But what "direction" do they mean? Do they mean towards diversity, equity, inclusion, women's rights, climate change and more. Or do they mean it's becoming too accepting, too liberal, too...nice? What is the Wrong direction?
Because in the future, people will look back and say the wrong direction was smart people letting the less educated do things just because they think it's either too hard to change them or there's money in what's going on so it can never change.
That's stupid. And that's America and much of the world. We KNOW what's best, but refuse to demand it. Why? Because most people today are poorly educated about civics, about science, art, literature...they're consumers and only know as much as they need to know to be such.
We're headed in the exact direction the wealthy want us to be; towards mass annihilation while they are safely ensconced in mini-paradises of our creation.
CA bans all plastic bags and causes controversy. It's exactly the point. We KNOW plastic bags are terrible. But....stupid is as stupid does.

Illness anxiety disorder (previously called hypochondriasis) is a psychiatric disorder defined by excessive worry about having or developing a serious undiagnosed medical condition. And I have it in spades. Mental Illness is all around us in all shapes and forms. We should care.
Biden says goodbye to UN in speech, and heralds world-wide changes over his tenure in government. But he said when he first started in 1972 "the Cold War was going strong, Vietnam was the longest war in American history...there was trouble in the Middle East..." OK, so, wait, what's so different now?
The Menendez Series on Netflix is pure camp, don't look to it for facts, just over-the-top performances and a campy script. But, was it murder one, or manslaughter? Does physical and mental abuse somehow lessen murder. They planned it. They executed it. Lied about it and then claimed abuse. Abused people feel trapped, that the only way out is to permanently remove the problem. Should they get leniency?

Oprah Winfrey proved she is one of the best interviewers working still by presenting VP Harris in a forum filled with hope, compassion and dare we say, joy. But the stories presenting were completely heartbreaking and proof that America can do so much better than what it is doing.
383,000 of our youth have had active shooter drills. Over 50,000 of our youth have actually been involved in some way in a school shooting. Oprah and VP Harris took us inside those shootings with a girl still riddled with bullet holes, and it hurt.
Meryl Streep asked the best question...what do we do if he doesn't accept the results and tries to create chaos again?
Also, it's Friday. October is a heartbeat away and we are looking forward to Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Or are we? Are the holidays on hold while we all hold our collective breaths?

A home in Marin just sold for 14.5 million dollars. And it's nothing that special. Houses in Las Vegas are going for $1.5 up to 30m. The average condo in Los Angeles is now $450k for a one bedroom. Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Miami, Dallas... but it doesn't stop there. Rural America home prices are skyrocketing as well. What are we paying for, exactly? And who, exactly has this kind of money?
The headline reads: Kamala's Nevada problem...things are just so expensive. But is that HER fault, Biden's and again, is it worth it. Nevada is a desert state, extreme temperatures, not much water... should things be expensive here?
Bit it all boils down to America is costly. Cars starting at $25k. Homes out of reach. Food skyrocketing. Healthcare rocketing. Is it all worth the actual price of admission?
