27 MAY 2024 · Birgitta Visser is the author of the book, BE-com-ing Authentically Me. She is a soul empowerment coach, divine channel and Light Language healer. Being Dutch, she is a bit of a bike messenger between the here and there, delivering messages from the many Master Teachers integral to helping elevate the consciousness of humanity and the planet. She has often stumbled through the darkness of her own trauma, but throughout her turbulent journey of overcoming, she decided to take the holistic route, walking through her highway of hell, facing her demons, that had kept her pain fully incarcerated for the longest time. Birgitta hopes that people will awaken to what life is all about, unlocking their own potential and BE-com-ing authentically and wholesome within themselves.

EP128: How Therapeutic Mindfulness Can Heal You with Ruth
27 APR 2024 · Ruth Fearnow's first book, Therapeutic Mindfulness, is a synthesis of her decades-long meditation practice and her work as a trauma-focused therapist. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner, she has identified and embedded the factors necessary for healing into therapeutic mindfulness, a skill to facilitate one's healing journey. Ruth's private journey began as a young woman when she found herself studying Kungfu and qigong in Dengfeng City, China, the home of the famous Shaolin Temple. It was there she began a serious meditation practice. While this skill takes years to develop, this was her first big step to understanding mindfulness practices. Ruth's evolution into a trauma therapist has enabled her to integrate age-old wisdom with trauma-informed insight. As a result, she has developed healing philosophies and the process of therapeutic mindfulness which she practices personally, and teaches to her clientele, many of whom use it on their own. Therapeutic mindfulness has now been adopted for professional use by colleagues in the mental health field. Dealing with feelings directly is transformational and Therapeutic Mindfulness shows us how to do so. Ruth feels it is time to spread the word on a wide scale.

EP127: Overcoming the Horrors of Human Trafficking with Amanda
23 APR 2024 · Amanda Blackwood wears; author, public speaker, podcast host, artist, survivor; but ultimately, she’s a woman who transformed her trauma into resilience and strength.
When Amanda finally managed to get away from the man who was trafficking her, she was thirty-one years old and didn’t know what she’d gone through even had a name, much less how to deal with the pain of feeling like a broken person, unworthy of love and filled with so much anger. On a freezing cold day in 2018 she saw former trafficked people standing strong and showing their beautiful resiliency on a stage at an anti-trafficking event. At that moment she finally knew what her purpose in life would be. Since then, Amanda has spoken on a multitude of stages, international summits, radio programs, and had over a dozen books. She launched two podcasts-one that focuses on interviewing other authors of trauma, and the other that discusses the long-term consequences of trauma and how to fight back for a better life. Amanda lives in Denver, Colorado with her rescue cats and supportive husband who keep her safe.
