ABOUT THE HOST:
Terry is a published author, devout Christian, and self-help enthusiast who has taught youth and adults for over 30 years about the importance of faith, hope, perseverance, and resiliency. She has spent most of her life exploring the relationship between God and man and enjoys sharing her insights with others.
Professionally, Terry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Management. She is a Nationally Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and a Mississippi Certified Emergency Manager (MCEM).
For the past 20+ years, her focus has been on providing education, outreach, and awareness regarding the preservation of life and property threatened by natural, manmade, and technological hazards.
Terry has offered her professional insight as a guest on Fox News, The Weather Channel, and several Mississippi local news outlets. She has also taught emergency preparedness courses and presented on the topic of emergency management at a number of conferences.
She has served in many volunteer leadership roles. She recently concluded a six-year stint as the chair of the Faith-Based Organizations Caucus for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM-USA). She currently serves as an adult Sunday School teacher, as Vice-Chair of the IAEM Bylaws Committee, as an Assessor for the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP), and as a Member-At-Large for the Mississippi Crisis Response Network.
Terry enjoys spending much of her time being the mother of six children and grandmother to two grandbabies. She is married to Brian; they live on 67 acres of farmland in Mississippi with three of their six children and a slew of kitty cats and puppy dogs.
