14 SEP 2023 · Scott Stevens talks with Clay Campbell, Track President at Martinsville Speedway, about the upcoming Late Model races at Martinsville Speedway on September 23rd. Over 100 of the best Late Model drivers from all over the east coast will converge to be one of the 40 that start the 200 lap event on Saturday night under the lights. It is the biggest most prestigious event for Late Model Stock drivers all year and they all come with the hope of walking away with not only the largest winners purse in their division, but that famous grandfather clock just like the Cup racers can win!
6 APR 2023 · Richmond last weekend, Bristol on the dirt this weekend then Martinsville April 14th through 16th... it's NASCAR's most action-packed month! Scott Stevens talks about all the racing action upcoming, including talking about the controversy around Ross Chastain, who last year's "Hail Melon" last lap at Martinsville, is a now illegal move. Ross is also being criticized for being overly aggressive. Sound familiar? Some of the biggest winners in the history of NASCAR had that kind of reputation. William Byron currently competes full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 24 Unifirst Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports. He won the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award in the 2016 NASCAR Truck Series season. The following season he won both the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship and 2017 Sunoco Rookie of the Year for that division.. Byron is currently the youngest full-time driver in NASCAR's top series.
William talks to Scott about his recent success at such a young age, driving the legendary number 24, and the pressure that comes with being in that iconic car, as well as the upcoming race at Martinsville and what it is like to drive there.
