A lot of people say that so long as you don’t resist, you’ll be fine in the presence of police. We hear the police say that in the videos, right? Stop resisting. Stop resisting. Even when we can see that the person is clearly not resisting. There is an entity in these altercations that needs to Stop Resisting. It isn’t the citizen. It is the police. They need to stop resisting full investigation. They need to stop resisting blatant transparency. They need to stop resisting relentless personal and professional accountability.
