27 JUL 2023 · Welcome back to Part 2 of Rick Smith's life journey. In the last episode we talked about how his addiction to prescription drugs took a toll on his life. On this episode, we focus on how he turned his life around and the impact he's now making on everyone he meets.
13 JUL 2023 · In this episode of Rollin’ with Ray, you will meet the resilient Rick Smith. We dive into his story and learn how he turned his trials into a triumph after hitting rock bottom. Rick was addicted to prescription drugs for 10 years. This cost him his marriage, career and relationship with his children and eventually his health.
Since 2010 Rick has used a defibrillator after suffering congestive heart failure. However, in 2023 his cardiologist informed him he would need a heart transplant to keep living. A day after he got on the list for a heart transplant, he was accepted and 12 days after that, walked out of the hospital unassisted.
Rick uses his life lessons to now help others. He is the founder of Rock Bottom Outreach- a non-profit organization meeting people where they are and giving them the love Jesus modeled when he walked upon the earth.
Rick is a true walking miracle and it's my honor and privilege to help tell his story.
22 JUN 2023 · In this episode of Rollin’ with Ray, you will meet Erin Kiltz. Erin is the founder and Director of Brookwood in Georgetown (BiG). BiG is the first replication of The Brookwood Community in Brookshire, Texas.
Prior to moving to Georgetown, Erin co-founded His Grace Foundation with her husband, John in 1998. His Grace Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides physical, emotional and financial support to patients and families on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of Texas Children’s Hospital. Erin also co-founded Wheels of Fun in 2006, a company that creates custom spoke guard covers for wheelchairs. Each of these endeavors was inspired by the youngest of the Kiltz’ three children, Gracie, who was born with Down Syndrome, battled leukemia, and was left with severe brain damage after serious treatment complications. Erin’s love for her daughter and family, combined with her years of experience in nonprofit management and development, interior design and education make her a true visionary who has brought a “future and a hope” to our BiG citizens through her creativity, endurance and compassion.
On September 8th, 2018- Gracie unexpectedly departed for heaven. Erin and John are more committed than ever to seeing that Gracie’s life and legacy continue to thrive! She gives all glory and honor to God for giving her the privilege of leading the BiG mission. Erin has also discovered there is no greater joy than being a grandmother (GiGi) and spending time with her six grandchildren. It’s my honor and privilege to introduce you to Erin Kiltz.
8 JUN 2023 · In this episode of Rollin’ with Ray, you will meet the incredible Trenell Walker. At the tender age of 14, Trenell Walker experienced a tragic accident playing high school varsity football, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Suddenly his high school glory days turned to temporary defeat. Trenell asked, "why me?” But Trenell understood temporary defeat does not mean permanent failure.
With that mindset, Trenell's life changed for the better when he applied the principles of perseverance to his powerful life. Desperation turned into inspiration giving birth to a spirit that he will never give up.
In 2021, Trenell wrote a book called The T.R.E.N.E.L.L Effect.
When he came up with the TRENELL Effect, it was simply for him to use as a tool to pull himself out of whatever rut he was in and heal. He discovered this effect could also help anyone move their life forward. His goal in life is to simply help people know themselves enough for them to be able to better themselves.
Today, Trenell is a Life Enhancing Specialist and a motivational speaker. It’s my honor and privilege to introduce you to Trenell Walker.
