5 JUL 2023 · In today's episode, Maryknoll Sister Ro Milazzo will be speaking with us from the Maryknoll Sisters Center in Maryknoll, New York. You will get to experience a day in the life of a Maryknoll Sister and learn what life is like after they return from overseas mission projects and what their involved in when they come back home. Sister Ro spends her days in New York teaching English to migrants, volunteering at the local prison and food pantry. We are thankful for you our partners in mission and are excited to have you on this virtual mission journey with us!
19 APR 2023 · In today's episode, Maryknoll Sister Susan Wangazi will take us on a journey all the way to the country of East Timor, a country in Southeast Asia! You will learn how Sister Susan is involved with social work services, she works with underprivileged youth and leads a women's group for abused women. We are thankful for you our partners in mission and are excited to have you on this virtual mission journey with us!
18 OCT 2022 · In today's episode, Maryknoll Sister Rolande Kahindo will take us on a journey all the way to the country of East Timor, which is over 9,000 miles away from the U.S.! You will learn how Sister Rolande is busy teaching English to students in need, which is one of the greatest educational tools for people in East Timor. How? Learning English provides them the chance to improve their economic situations with better paying jobs in neighboring countries. We are thankful for you our partners in mission and are excited to have you on this virtual mission journey with us!
15 AUG 2022 · Sister Melinda Roper will take us on a journey to Panama where she has been the last 30+ years! There she teaches locals and farmers in the rain forests how to live off the land and utilize organic farming methods to help reduce deforestation while still maintaining their livelihoods.
12 MAY 2022 · In today's episode, Sister Efu Nyaki will take us on a journey across the globe to Brazil where she has been on mission for nearly 30 years! You will get to experience a day in the life of a Maryknoll Sister and learn about her mission work. Sister Efu is the founder of Afya, a holistic health center offering alternative forms of preventative health care to those with health conditions and abused women in the impoverished communities of northern Brazil.
6 APR 2022 · Today we have a very special episode with our eldest living missioner, Sister Helen Werner who is 102 years old! Sister Helen has been a Maryknoll Sister for 84 years and just returned to the U.S. from spending 35 years in Guatemala as a teacher and running a nutrition center to feed the hungry. You will learn how she has been making God’s love visible across the globe for literally the past 100 years!
23 MAR 2022 · In today's episode, Sister Helen Graham will take us on a journey to the Philippines where she served as a theology teacher for 50+ years! You will also learn about her involvement with issues of justice and peace and her work with political detainees.
17 FEB 2022 · In today's episode Sister Dee Smith, M.M. will take you on a journey to Guatemala where she has been on mission for nearly thirty years! You will learn about the hospice center she runs for those terminally ill with HIV/AID.
24 JAN 2022 · Sister Kathleen Reiley will take us on a journey across the globe to Japan! You will get to experience a day in the life of a Maryknoll Sister and learn about her mission work. Sister Kathleen is a Pastoral Minister who works with migrants and children suffering from cancer. She helped start “Family House” in Japan for families of children with cancer, it is similar to the Ronald McDonald House in the U.S.
21 DEC 2021 · Sister Mary Lou Daoust, M.M. will take us on a journey across the globe to Guatemala to learn more about her mission work. Sister Mary Lou is a physician who has been serving in Guatemala for 35 years providing life saving health care treatments to those suffering!
