Mapping today is a vast topic, not by chance entire books are dedicated to this theme. Mapping is also more and more often an activity included in international research projects in urban studies and geography, but also in social sciences.

When thinking of mapping, we often first think of nicely drawn maps displaying arguments through mapped data and facts, difficult for non-experts to reproduce. But what is “the behind the scenes” of these nice maps?

Mapped to see is a podcast about the role of mapping in an interdisciplinary research field: food for thoughts for researchers interested in engaging with mapping in practice. In conversation with practitioners involved in mapping projects, Mapped to see argues that mapping is ultimately about developing a spatial sensitivity and attitude that allows to see what otherwise would be less visible.
