On April 17, 1992, a farmer stumbled upon the lifeless body of a premature baby girl, wrapped in a towel and discarded like trash. Despite the initial investigation, the case went cold due to the limitations of DNA technology at the time.
Fast forward to August 2021, advances in forensic genetic genealogy breathed new life into the investigation. With the help of preserved evidence, detectives identified Inga Johansen Carriere and Andrew K. Carriere II as the parents and perpetrators of this crime.

19 JUL 2024 · Join Ky on this bonus Ky Rants as she unpacks the case of Sandra Pagniano, a 39-year-old mother from Arizona who was reported missing on May 21, 2017. Sandra's disappearance followed a contentious divorce, and her last sighting was on May 19, 2017. The investigation quickly turned dark when two suspicious notes, allegedly written by Sandra, surfaced in the divorce proceedings, granting her ex-husband, David Pagniano, full custody of their children and ownership of their home and vehicles.
As the investigation progressed, police tracked David's cell phone records to a remote area north of Prescott, Arizona, where they discovered Sandra's body on May 26, 2017.
County Attorney Dennis McGrain pursued the death penalty due to the horrific nature of the crime. The chilling details of Sandra's final moments were talked about in court.
