3 JUN 2024 · In her book “The Making of Biblical Womanhood” Beth Allison Barr said,
“from the ancient world through the modern world, history told a continuous story of patriarchy - of women suppressed, oppressed, devalued, and silenced.”
Much of this oppression has occurred in the church. Today we discuss the damage patriarchy does to women in church settings and Pete talks with Iver Robinson, a church leader who has experienced this.

6 MAY 2024 · This is the first in a multi-episode mini-series on the topic of women, men, home and church in the context of the systemic patriarchy in our culture and places of worship. 1 APR 2024 · In a world where winning is paramount, having a mutually beneficial conversation with a person we disagree with is a lost art. It isn't hard to rediscover joyful interaction and in this episode Pete outlines 10 strategies for doing so. This is a good one to share with your team!
4 MAR 2024 · Many of us have been “shown the door” by our evangelical friends. This dispossession is painful and difficult to understand. Dr. Isaac Sharp joins us to discuss this phenomenon as we walk through his book, The Other Evangelicals.
5 FEB 2024 · Is evolution true? Is it possible to be a Christian and believe in evolution? Is the earth 6000 years old or 4.3 billion years old? How do we know? Dr. Janet Kellogg Ray, a professor of Biology, will help those of us who were taught only “Young Earth Creationism” that there are better ways to understand the origins of the universe and mankind.
2 JAN 2024 · Kindavangelical is the podcast where we talk about more beautiful ways to live the Christian life. Sometimes the more beautiful way is more difficult, in fact it usually is, right? In this episode Pete discusses what to do, instead of flippantly asking someone to forgive you, after you’ve done something hurtful. It’s hard, and it’s beautiful too.
5 DEC 2023 · The church is struggling, people are leaving, and it leaves us wondering, is there any hope for the church moving forward? This honest discussion with Zach Lambert points to ways forward for the church and addresses some of the questions many of us who have left the church are pondering.
6 NOV 2023 · Setting out on a journey with no destination is an unnatural thing to do. It is unsettling and we feel ungrounded.
Welcome to unnatural land… how is the journey going for you? Do you know where you’re going, or are you still figuring that out?
In this episode we discuss what might come next, after we leave evangelicalism, with guest Dr. David Gushee.
