These are just some pieces of literature or poetry that I felt like reciting for the purpose of recording.
1 NOV 2024 · My recitation of Conal Cochran’s explanation of Halloween in the finale of “Halloween III: Season of the Witch”
2 NOV 2020 · I finally record a recitation of “The Raven” from memory instead of by reading it off the page. I really enjoy reciting this poem. It feels like acting, and then I find myself wondering what it might have been like if I had tried to become an actor.
11 SEP 2019 · This is me reciting (a capella) “Uneasy Rider” by The Charlie Daniels Band. It’s a hilarious song, and I hope to be able to do it as a karaoke some day.
7 NOV 2018 · I recite the Dr Seuss poem “What Was I Scared Of?”
This poem is from the anthology “The Sneetches and Other Stories.”
The poem itself is the first thing I have any memory of being able to read on my own. That’s probably because the story fascinated me when I was very young, and it was among the many stories my dad would read to me at bedtime. I must have had him read me this one quite a lot.
