28 OCT 2016 · Andy plays race director of the Rallye66 Ranger Run and talks about the hard work and rewards of directing a race. As it turns out, you should fear the crossfitter in a multiple event competition.
Are there too many races? How oversaturation might be affecting the running community.
The boys have a full race schedule for the remainder of the year. With Andy running The Bass Pro Conservation Marathon on November 6, 2016 and You Don’t Know Jack 75K on December 3, 2016.
Stephen is running The Skippo Trail Run 20K on November 6, 2016. The White River Marathon on November 19, 2016 and will meet Andy to run the You Don’t Know Jack 75K.
Both of them are considering ending the year with The Run For The Ranch marathon or 6 hour endurance on December 31, 2016.
Stephen talks about a great race review site that he uses called BibRave where you can review your races for others to read about and check on races you are considering running.
Paul Staudigel from Inov-8 calls in to talk about the difference between normal running pain and injury pain. Be careful making toast.
In the gear review segment Andy gives an update on the Inov-8 Road Claw 275’s and Stephen updates us on the Inov-8 Trail Talon 275’s.
As well, both Stephen and Andy give their initial thoughts on the Orange Mud HydraQuiver Vest Pack 2.
Both of the guys are having some training issues. Andy is finding it difficult to find the time to train properly and Stephen has been skimping on his strength training and as a result is suffering from a minor injury.

30 SEP 2016 · Welcome Eric Johnson the owner of Fleet Feet Springfield, a specialty running store in Springfield Missouri. We learn a little about Eric, and a ton about the day to day operation of a running store. Why Eric purchased the business. How the staff is trained to put the customer in the correct shoe. How products are selected to go on the shelves, the importance of a well fitting bra and much, much more.
Stephen talks about the Hawk Marathon on the Race Recap. Things didn’t go well with the weather, but runners and race directors overcame obstacles to make it happen. Stephen even overcame his not-so advisable pre-race meal. You’ll have to listen to get the details about that and his Heartland Running score for the race.
In the Gear Review Andy discusses the Inov-8 RoadClaw 275, Stephen compares the Inov-8 Trail Talon 275 to the Niki Tera Kiger 3, he is foaming at the mouth to get a hold of the Inov-8 Rocklite 305 when they are released. and Eric reviews the Hoka Challenger ATR 2 that he bought right before the Pikes Peak Marathon.
Wrapping up this busy episode with the Runners Route Report, Eric describes a run at Wilson’s Creek, and Andy reports on the massive Katy Trail that he failed to complete.

9 SEP 2016 · EP2: Food For Thought Stephen and Andy are back at it again. In this episode Stephen discusses his new Inov-8 Ultra 5 hydration vest and gives his first impression. More to come on this vest as Stephen puts it to the test at the upcoming Hawk Trail Marathon in Kansas.
Andy fails miserably at dirt-bagging, but wins big with a new half marathon PR at the Nebraska State Fair Marathon. Andy gives a race recap and does an in depth race review on this second year Midwestern race. Is it worth traveling too? Is it as flat as advertised? These questions and more are answered.
The random subject generator selects a topic that creates a controversial topic to discuss. Stephen and Andy dig deep to get to the “meat” of the topic.
To close the show Stephen gives the Runners Route Report and upcoming show topics are discussed.

Focusing on Midwest running events, Stephen discusses his upcoming trail marathon in Kansas. The Hawk Trail Marathon. Andy explains about “dirt bagging” his next race the Nebraska State Fair Marathon, where he will be looking for a half Mary PR.
On the “Runners Route” Stephen goes running with the Trappist Monks…..what!?....and Andy talks rails-to-trails with the Ruby Jack Trail.
