We talk about our relationship with bootstrap mentality and if working hard will move most Black people up the social ladder. Also, Ysanet puts us on to some new vocabulary with Personal Financial Bypassing. And lastly, if you’re like us and have struggled to find a budget that allows you to bring all of you, we share two different new and afrofuturistic budgeting practices that we’re queering/tweaking to allow us to be more free individually and with our people.

Understanding that as Black people, most of us can’t ever have enough money and time independently and ethically, so our path to freeing the bag must include depending on each other AND creating a new system to survive and thrive.
