The situation is being continuously brushed under the rug by wardens, the Executive Director, and other officials in Huntsville. The lack of transparency and accountability is appalling, and it's high time for this grave issue to be brought to light and addressed once and for all. � **Inmates are not trained officers**. They should not be responsible for maintaining order. This not only endangers their lives but also places undue pressure on the already overtaxed correctional staff. � **People are dying**. The loss of life due to understaffing and resultant negligence is an irreversible tragedy. These deaths must be investigated, and preventive measures need to be implemented immediately. � **Repeated failings**. This isn't a new problem—it's been going on for decades. Despite numerous calls for improvement, the issue has only persisted, exemplifying a gross disregard for human life and safety. **WE DEMAND ACTION** We are calling on elected officials and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to step in and take immediate, decisive actions to rectify this dire situation.
