30 OCT 2024 · Do you feel stuck in your marriage? Do you wish you could sometimes show up differently in how you parent your children? Do you desire a slower pace of life for your family?
We all run into problems in our closest relationships, especially with those we love the most. But what if the problems we face are intensified, or perhaps even created, because of our own internal insecurities or lack of feeling loved?
In episode 4 of season 1, Finding Your Way Home, we talk about the foundational solution to many of our relational concerns: Finding your way home to the Father's love. Unfortunately, like any other relationship, this takes time and practice, especially if we already don't feel lovable.
In this episode, we discuss how we and our relationships change when we feel “delighted in,” we share our own stories of experiencing the Father’s love, and we offer insights on how we can move from intellectually understanding the Father’s love for us, to genuinely experiencing it.

9 OCT 2024 · The Famous at Home podcast has a new beginning! Though we have over 400 previous episodes out in the world, this is the start of a new vision for Famous at Home, what we call “red carpet to revival.”
Welcome to Season 1!
Each new season will consist of seven episodes and be built around specific topics to help bring revival to your family. Season 1 is called “Find Your Way Home,” where we talk about the meaning behind this new phrase and why it sets the foundation for the emotional connection and spiritual growth you desire in your own home.
In today’s episode, we talk about the reckoning that happened in our marriage and why nearly quitting Famous at Home was toiling the soil for the dead seeds to give birth to life all over again. As we talk about moving from “red carpet to revival,” our hope is that you see how it applies to your family in this cultural moment you find yourself in.

There are many misconceptions about what practicing the Sabbath, or ceasing from work, really entails. People often view Sabbath as a day for lounging around the house, binging a show on Netflix, or just doing nothing. Those things can be fine, but do they really bring about "soul rest?"
In this episode, Josh and Christi go in-depth about the purpose and meaning of Sabbath, and the unique ways they have learned to cultivate it in their home.
Josh and Christi talk about:
- Shabbat dinner as a fun, family-centric rhythm for your weekly Sabbath
- Why Sabbath rest is a gift from God and how you can make it work to fit your family dynamic
- How to fight against the pull of Western culture away from the biblical gift of Sabbath

We talk about:
- Why our bodies feel safer in chaos than peace
- Specific ways to consecrate your home and use prayer as your greatest weapon in the war for peace

Have you ever given thought to how your "household" is being defined? Or put another way, how often do you consider the direction your family is heading? Or the connectedness you feel with each other? What if our struggles as a family and the longings we have are tied to the post Industrial Revolution individualistic culture we find ourselves immersed in? Could there be a different way?
In this episode, we talk about the meaning of the word "household" and how it applies to your family.
We talk about:
- Why it's important to be curious, not intimidated by the dissonance we feel.
- How to let go of "the chase" and refocus on prioritizing your family cohesion.
- How to discover and step into your family's uniqueness.
- Why it's beneficial train your kids to be creators, not consumers.

Would you describe your spouse as your greatest teammate? It probably depends on the day, right? We all have opponents that war against the connection in our marriage and cause conflict. But how do we fight? Do we see the opponent for what it is, or do we make our spouse out to be the opponent?
In this episode, Josh and Christi talk about how to name the opponent, talk about your dance, and take responsibility for how to engage with your spouse.
They talk about:
- The importance of finding out what's going on in your spouse's heart rather than what's going on between the two of you
- Protective mechanisms and how they hold us back from communicating the truth of what we want from our spouse
- Why taking 100% responsibility for your role in the conflict disarms your spouse
- Practical ways to show up differently for your spouse
