27 DEC 2020 · Apliu Street Market is one of Hong Kong’s landmarks. It is a flea market where you can buy pretty much anything, from furniture to make-up. However, the main focus is on electronic devices, audio and video equipment. At this market, traders sell mostly used stuff, but you can find some new items also. The prices are quite impressive and, again, do not forget to bargain – you could get a 10 to 20 percent reduction. Almost all Hong Kong residents have basic English language skills, so communication should not be too difficult. At this flea market, you can also find antique watches, coins, stamps and other rarities.

27 DEC 2020 · While you are walking along Boundary Road, we would like to help you to decide what to do next. There are two markets left on the tour - the flea market on Apliu Street, and Temple Street Night Market. The first is located a little ahead, whereas the second is back almost where the Ladies' Market is, so basically at this point you must decide whether you wish to continue on and discover the rarities of the flea market or whether it’s time to visit Temple Street Night Market for authentic dining and a show. If you choose the first option, there are two ways to do this: you can either walk there (it’ll take about 15-20 minutes) or take the metro for one stop north. The metro station is very close to the market - you just need to take the small side street. If you wish to go straight to Temple Street Night Market, you also need to take the red metro line back to Jordan Station, where we were before. So, at the next intersection, go either right or left. Don’t worry – we’ll give you precise directions.

27 DEC 2020 · The Goldfish market is one of the jewels of Hong Kong. It is unusual and unique. Even though it is highly unlikely that you will buy anything here, since transporting a goldfish back home might be a bit of a problem, it’s still worth visiting. The variety of fish and other sea creatures is terrific, and such abundance would do credit to any aquarium in the world. The Chinese believe that a goldfish brings prosperity and wealth to a household, and that a fish tank brings positive energy, so if you are in a desperate need of those, you might consider buying a goldfish, despite the odds.

Here, you can buy clothes for men, women, kids, homeware, accessories, make-up, etc.It is very important to understand, though, that the branded things that you buy here at a bargain price are only high-quality copies, so don’t get over-excited at finding real Chanel for $100. Do not expect to dig up anything truly special or original - just stroll down the street, enjoying the atmosphere and experiencing the real Hong Kong.Negotiate! Here, you could bring the price down by about 20 percent. Negotiation is a necessary part of market shopping - do not ignore it!
