DIRT
Matthew 13:3-9 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow
his seed. (4) As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it
up. (5) Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because
the soil was shallow. (6) But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. (7) Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. (8) Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. (9) Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
Matthew 13:22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
1. WORRIES OF THIS LIFE
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will
be given to you as well.
2. DECEITFULNESS OF WEALTH
Mark 4:18-19 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; (19) but the worries of
this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word,
making it unfruitful.
3. DESIRE FOR OTHER THINGS
Luke 8:14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on
their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.

Matthew 13:20-21 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and
at once receives it with joy. (21) But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When
trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
1. IT SPRANG UP QUICKLY
2. IT DIED QUICKLY
Luke 8:6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they
had no moisture.
1 Peter 2:2-3 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow
up in your salvation, (3) now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
"The Path"

DIRT
Matthew 13:1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. (2) Such large
crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the
shore.
Matthew 13:3 Then he told them many things in parables. `
Matthew 13:10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in
parables?”
Matthew 13:11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of
heaven has been given to you, but not to them.”
Matthew 13:3-9 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow
his seed. (4) As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it
up. (5) Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because

times what was sown. (9) Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
Matthew 13:18-19 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: (19) When anyone hears
the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches
away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
Luke 8:11 This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
1. THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT
1 Corinthians 3:6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it
grow.
*The Bridge Illustration.
2. THE EVIL ONE SNATCHES IT AWAY
Luke 8:12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and
takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
"Offer Children's Ministry"
1 JUL 2024 · “Offer Children’s Ministry”
WHY WE DO IT
Matthew 18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
1. THE VALUE OF CHILDREN
Matthew 18:2-6 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. (3) And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (4) Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (5) And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
2. CHILDREN NEED PROPER GUIDANCE
Matthew 18:6-7 “If anyone causes one of these little ones - those who believe in me - to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. (7) Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!
3. CHILDREN NEED SALVATION TOO
Matthew 18:12-14 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? (13) And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. (14) In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
Practice Baptism
24 JUN 2024 · “Practice Baptism”
WHY WE DO IT
1 Peter 3:18-22 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (19) After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits – (20) to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, (21) and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (22) who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.
*Baptism that now saves you*
1. NOT REMOVAL OF DIRT FROM BODY
2. PLEDGE OF CLEAR CONSCIENCE
Acts 22:16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.
Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
3. THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Matthew 28:18 – All authority on heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Listen to Preaching
17 JUN 2024 · “Listen to Preaching”
WHY WE DO IT
2 Timothy 4:1-2 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the
dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: (2) Preach the word;
be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and
careful instruction.
1. PREACHING IS NOT OPTIONAL
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, (17) so that the servant of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.
Acts 20:27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.
2. PREACHING HELPS US LIVE FOR JESUS
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and
encourage - with great patience and careful instruction.
Acts 20:20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be
helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who
does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say
what their itching ears want to hear. (4) They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn
aside to myths.
“Collect an Offering”

WHY WE DO IT
2 Corinthians 8:1-9 And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has
given the Macedonian churches. (2) In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their
extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. (3) For I testify that they gave as much as they were able,
and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, (4) they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of
sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. (5) And they exceeded our expectations: They gave
themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us. (6) So we urged Titus, just as he
had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. (7) But since you
excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have
kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
(8) I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the
earnestness of others. (9) For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet
for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
1. GIVING IS A MATTER OF THE HEART
2 Corinthians 8:1-3 And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that
God has given the Macedonian churches. (2) In the midst of a very severe trial, their
overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. (3) For I testify that
they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.
-Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
2. GIVING IS AN ACT OF GRACE
2 Corinthians 8:3-5 …Entirely on their own, (4) they urgently pleaded with us for the
privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. (5) And they exceeded our
expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also
to us.
3. GIVING IS PART OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY
2 Corinthians 8:7 But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in
complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this
grace of giving.
2 Corinthians 8:8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love
by comparing it with the earnestness of others.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
4. GIVING FOLLOWS THE EXAMPLE OF JESUS
2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich,
yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
"Take Communion"

WHY WE DO IT
1 Corinthians 10:16-17 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in
the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? (17)
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
1. FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST
1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is
the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver
or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you
from your ancestors, (19) but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without
blemish or defect.
2. FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER
v. 16 “And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?”
Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is
my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
1 Corinthians 10:17 Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all
share the one loaf.
1 Corinthians 12:12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many
parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
