In this episode of BBR, Bob looks at Zero to One, a book by the entrepreneur Peter Thiel. Amongst Thiel’s most significant accomplishments are founding PayPal, an online payments platform and Palantir, a data analytics firm. He has also invested in companies like Meta, LinkedIn, and Yelp, as well as operating the venture capital firm Founders Fund based in Silicon Valley.

In Zero to One, Thiel explains his strategies for management and success. Amongst Thiel’s strategies that Bob highlights are Thiel’s creativity and vision-casting for new ventures and the importance of innovating instead of simply competing. According to Peter Thiel, such innovations take the world from 0 to 1.
