I have found that Nature can give us many insights into Life. Particularliy in Problem/Challenge solving - they can be used as metaphors (a symbol) to help us get a deeper understanding of our world, our Landscape.

I find gardening can be used as a metaphor. For example, you could say, metaphorically, a car mechanic's workshop may need pruning, weeding, mowing, watering, dead heading and composting... That could transpose into the following questions:
  • How many parts suppliers are like that tree who's roots are undermining the foundations of the house?
  • What types of cars thrive in this environment?
  • Who's in charge of the tool shed - keeping the tools sharpened?
An overview of the process is as follows:
  1. Anchor a positive Zelandscape - to give us an 'anchor' to feel safe and happy.
  2. Determing the current challenge you'd like some insights on.
  3. Pick a saying that best reflects it.
  4. Put the real life situation on 'the back burner'.
  5. Explore the metaphorical landscape as you walk in Nature.
  6. Revisit the original challenge - notice what you notice, see, hear, feel and smell it.
  7. With these insights "Step Forward" in confidence with your action plan.
Let's go for a wee walk....
