He said the "You Are Awesome" idea came to life when Jennifer Jurgens, a Spring Lake (Michigan) resident, spotted a kid standing on a busy corner with a handwritten, cardboard sign. He wasn't asking for help, prayers or money. His sign simply read "You are Awesome!" Spread the word.
