show moreBliss got most of the focus. The match was an afterthought. Alexa is more powerful than the Fiend. For the match, no real resolution. Bliss in essence helped Orton by interference. I dont get it.
Baszler getting in a lot of offense to give her a showcase. Match treated like a battle of heavyweights. Natalya and Shayna matching submissions. Jax takes most of the bumps. I like that Baszler looked good in this match. Tamina probably got dragged thru her best effort to date...and thats not saying a lot.
Second night with a featured match with a pair of long time ROH dancing partners. Corey Graves saving Michael Cole on missing move names, corkscrew in the womens tag match and michinoku driver in the Owens/ Zayn match, because of the impending social media backlash. These two wrestling snug, and cranking out the hits. Match was short and sweet. Logan Paul takes a stunner and it should go viral.
At this point, first hour has been a bit of a throwaway.
Riddle and Sheamus with what would be a RAW featured match in the second hour. Sheamus struggled with a top rope Irish curse. Regardless, not a bad match and Sheamus wins. Brogue kick was different. Riddle got a busted lip and it looks like this feud is getting started.
Bad Bunny with a cool tour promo to promote the new album with Triple HHH. Nigerian Drum match was underwhelming. Apollo wins with the help of a soldier in the former Babatunde of NXT (or Dabba-Kato from RAW Underground). Big E got a raw deal. Is his push over?
Doing the Hall of Fame classes over both nights was a nice touch.
Asuka and Ripley was ok. This would have been better for me with a more storyline that gave us some heat. Not into Rhea Ripley, but not every wrestler is my thing. Ripley vs. Flair should be the next program to go to if they plan to go that route.
The only match that had a WrestleMania feel was the main event. DDT to Jey Uso on steps to neutralize. Reigns isolated to give Bryan and Edge some head to head. Roman super over with the crowd. Night and day from his previous reaction as a babyface. Roman is a great heel in this environment. Jawjacking the crowd throughout. Roman is a double submission and then the animosity of Bryan and Edge mounts up. It is great to see both of these guys able to comeback after announcing their retirements. Edge and Bryan keep screwing with each other. Orton has his punt. Edge has his con-chair-to. Jey interferes and keeps Edge's eye off the prize. Roman gives his own to Edge. Roman retains in stylee stacking up both to win.
