Join Nawfel and visual artist Raphael Adams in a conversation on "Inspiration: what is it? How to use it, and what goes on in a artist's mind! Raphael is into...
show moreRaphael is into all forms of art, but his first love was animated cartoons and comics. They formed a large part of his childhood and influenced him from an early age. As a kid, he used to create his own superheroes and write dozens of comic adventures about them.
After taking several fine art courses from late childhood into his early teens, He'd expanded his skill set but was still a cartoonist at heart. In the next few years, music took over as a major influence for him, which led him to explore album art and graphic design. He later started dabbling in photography as well, after a good friend took him on a photoshoot.
Today, he blends all these influences in an effort to bring comics, realism, music, and design together as one. Often he finds inspiration in one form of media, and channel it into another medium.
Some of his biggest influences include Pablo Picasso, David Mack, Storm Thorgerson, Douglas Cardinal, MIA, Banksy, Stan Lee, and A Tribe Called Quest. Raphael is from Otttawa, Ontario Canada
