Today’s West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy Podcast for our especially special Daily Special, Blue Moon Spirits Fridays, is now available on the Spreaker Player!
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, legal experts issued a warning to election officials who refuse to certify the election based on bogus fraud claims.
Then, on the rest of the menu, the University of California set a new record with the largest, most diverse class of California students for the fall 2024 semester; the Justice Department will offer cash rewards for whistleblower tips on criminal financial misconduct; and, a federal appeals court made it harder for Black and Hispanic voters to form coalitions to elect the candidates they prefer in three southern states, overruling long-standing precedents.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where two Belarusian journalists working for news outlets that the government of authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko has declared extremist, have been sentenced to prison in a closed-door trial; and, saying it is a key partner, India offered a $300 million loan to build up Vietnam’s maritime security.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
