Today’s West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy Podcast for our especially special Daily Special, River City Hash Mondays is now available on the Spreaker Player!
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, critics of book banning have a message to the parents trying to ban an award-winning novel they clearly haven’t read.
Then, on the rest of the menu, congressional Republicans are trying to block the Biden administration plan to cut money from the fraudulent crisis pregnancy center scam, more than a dozen states have given themselves the power to override local zoning restrictions blocking large-scale renewable energy projects; and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate two crashes involving Florida’s Brightline high-speed train that killed three people at the same railroad crossing.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where a Belarusian journalist faces up to six years in prison for covering anti-government protests; and, tens of thousands of Germans demonstrated against the far right following a report extremists will deport even German citizens if they take power.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
