"We should conform to the world because it’s easier to fit in and follow what everyone else is doing."

But the Bible challenges this in Romans chapter twelve, verse two: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." 

This verse is saying that you shouldn’t just follow what everyone else is doing, but instead let God help you change how you think. When you do that, you’ll be able to understand what God wants for you, which is always something good and right.
