The Statewide Colorado Registration and Election system, was rebooted to fix technical problems that delayed voting all day.As of Monday afternoon, 591,001 Republicans had voted while 470,210 Democrats had cast their ballots, according to the Colorado Secretary of State's Office. Of the 1,464,978 votes cast, registered GOP voters made up 40.34 percent.Jefferson County — considered a critical swing county for the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Democrat Mark Udall and Republican challenger Cory Gardner — turnout has been heavy. 353,000 mail ballots sent out, more than 221,000 ballots had been voted, or about 63 percent, as of 12:35 p.m., including 16,000 delivered in person on Tuesday.
Turnout seemed heavy Tuesday morning at some Louisville area polling sites, election officials predicted a voter turnout Tuesday of between 60 and 65 percent for Jefferson County, up from 52 percent in 2010.
