On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX, Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison return from a very much unintended layoff to discuss some of the big news and recently released games.
The guys change things up this time around talking the news first. Sean and Marc discuss the huge backlash from Blizzard fans after the Diablo Immortal mobile game was announced at Blizzcon 2018. Is the hate justified? Or is this another case of entitlement in the community? Is mobile gaming truly the devil?
The guys also rundown what was announced at the final Smash Ultimate Direct. They talk the final new additions to the roster. The announcement of a Fighter Season Pass. A big story mode "World of Light," Spirts, and more.
The guys also discuss the highs and lows of the full PlayStation Classic lineup. Are there some big misses? Did remasters, remakes, and ports hurt what could have been a sold first try for Sony? Or is this what we expected all along?
There's also Netflix's Castlevania getting a Season 3, Penny Dreadful getting a sequel series at Showtime, news on the Witcher Netflix series, Sonic Team Racing delayed, and a few other things too.
Finally, Marc talks a lot about Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2. He also gives a little info on Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch too. While Sean talks My Hero Academia: One Justice and an indie game called Minit that released earlier this year.
