Da: Solen skinnede klart over Nyhavn en sommerdag.
En: The sun shone brightly over Nyhavn on a summer day.

Da: Frederik og Mette gik langs kanalen.
En: Frederik and Mette walked along the canal.

Da: De nød det fine vejr og den smukke udsigt.
En: They enjoyed the fine weather and the beautiful view.

Da: Mange både var i vandet, og mennesker spadserede og cyklede.
En: Many boats were in the water, and people were strolling and cycling.

Da: Frederik og Mette fandt en bænk i skyggen.
En: Frederik and Mette found a bench in the shade.

Da: De satte sig og talte om deres planer.
En: They sat down and talked about their plans.

Da: Pludselig blev Mette meget bleg.
En: Suddenly, Mette became very pale.
