Great Ujima:
Our ancestors had to struggle, suffer and master their own bodies and minds in order to survive as a people. But there was also a collective will that caused men and women to work together for the betterment of their communities. And because of that collective effort, we were able to develop political and social institutions, economic systems, philosophies, arts and technology that made life much better and easier than our ancestors lived. If we have one foot in the past then this really should be the job of us as a people. What framework do we have if we don't build one? Then what do we point towards when trying to explain ourselves? Today on Toast we explore the role of will power in ujima.
