Story Transcript:

Sl: Luka je bil vesel.
En: Luka was happy.

Sl: Sonce je sijalo in ptice so pele.
En: The sun was shining and the birds were singing.

Sl: Luka je bil na sprehodu po Ljubljani z dvema najboljšima prijateljicama, Anjo in Majo.
En: Luka was walking around Ljubljana with his two best friends, Anja and Maja.

Sl: Mesto je bilo živahno in polno ljudi.
En: The city was lively and full of people.

Sl: Prijatelji so se smejali in uživali v lepem dnevu.
En: The friends were laughing and enjoying the beautiful day.

Sl: Ampak nenadoma, Luka je začutil, da mora nujno v stranišče.
En: But suddenly, Luka felt an urgent need to use the restroom.

Sl: Pohitel je do najbližjega javnega stranišča.
En: He hurried to the nearest public restroom.

Sl: Ko je vstopil, ni opazil, da ni toaletnega papirja.
En: Upon entering, he didn't notice that there was no toilet paper.

Sl: Ko je sedel, mu je postalo jasno.
En: When he sat down, it became clear to him.

Sl: Bil je ujet.
En: He was trapped.

Sl: "Anja!
En: "Anja!

Sl: Maja!
En: Maja!"

Sl: " je klical Luka, toda glasba in smeh zunaj so preglasili njegov klic na pomoč.
En: Luka called out, but the music and laughter outside drowned out his call for help.

Sl: Luka je iskal po žepih in ni našel nič.
En: Luka searched his pockets and found nothing.

Sl: Bil je res v težavah.
En: He was really in trouble.

Sl: Medtem sta Anja in Maja opazili, da Luke ni in začeli so jo iskati.
En: Meanwhile, Anja and Maja noticed that Luka was missing and began to search for him.

Sl: Imeli sta občutek, da je Luka morda v težavah.
En: They had a feeling that Luka might be in trouble.

Sl: Nazadnje sta prispeli do stranišča, kjer sta slišali Lukovo klicanje.
En: Finally, they arrived at the restroom where they heard Luka calling out.

Sl: "Luka, si v redu?
En: "Luka, are you okay?"

Sl: " je vprašala Anja.
En: Anja asked.

Sl: "Ne!
En: "No!"

Sl: " je odgovoril Luka.
En: Luka replied.

Sl: Povedal jima je o svoji težavi.
En: He told them about his problem.

Sl: Maja je bila pripravljena.
En: Maja was ready.

Sl: "Počakaj!
En: "Wait!"

Sl: " je rekla, in stekla do najbližje trgovine.
En: she said, and ran to the nearest store.

Sl: Kupila je rolico toaletnega papirja in tekla nazaj k stranišču.
En: She bought a roll of toilet paper and ran back to the restroom.

Sl: Ko je vrnila, je Luka lahko do konca opravil, kar je bil začel.
En: When she returned, Luka was able to finish what he had started.

Sl: Prijatelji so se nato skupaj smejali Lukovi pripetljaji.
En: Then, the friends laughed together at Luka's predicament.

Sl: Konec dneva so sedeli ob Ljubljanici, jedli sladoled in se še vedno smejali.
En: At the end of the day, they sat by the Ljubljanica, ate ice cream, and continued to laugh.

Sl: Luka se je počutil srečnega, da ima tako dobre prijatelje, ki mu pomagajo v vsaki situaciji.
En: Luka felt happy to have such good friends who helped him in every situation.

Sl: In obljubil je, da bo naslednjič pred uporabo stranišča vedno preveril, ali je tam toaletni papir.
En: And he promised that next time, he would always check for toilet paper before using the restroom.
