The Mighty Clouds of Joy is a traditional gospel group that has been singing for a very long time. They are also recognized as being early pioneers of today's Comtemporary Gospel sound. You may have heard R&B and Disco in their sound. The Mighty Clouds of Joy is the first gospel group known to be on Soul Train.

One of my favorite songs from the Mighty Clouds of Joy is called "Mighty High". It is a 1975 Disco/R&B single. The single proved to be very popular with disco fans.
