During those opening chapters of a radio career that's stretched to 40 years, being on the air was more than shaping an ego but rather igniting a connection with passerby listeners. This new age and step of broadcasting come with a deep dark shadow. Positions on the air are very few. Those chosen to perform still have to set it all free or implode. Doing this show daily isn't to mastermind a plan to steal the numbers in the ratings but rather to keep myself warmed up for the possibility of there being another stage. This stuff is done free. We get paid nothing to show up in this studio at ten o'clock at night for a show that airs the next day at 2. It's what radio people do. You truly can't turn it off.
