Story Transcript:

Lt: Saulė krito ant auksinių Kuršių nerijos kopų.
En: The sun was setting on the golden dunes of the Curonian Spit.

Lt: Karštis spaudė kas žingsnį.
En: The heat pressed with every step they took.

Lt: Eglė ir Mantas stovėjo šalia grupės.
En: Eglė and Mantas stood next to the group.

Lt: Jie buvo vasaros ekskursijoje su mokykla.
En: They were on a summer school trip.

Lt: Jie abu žvelgė link tolumoje mirgančio Baltijos jūros vandens.
En: Both of them looked towards the shimmering waters of the Baltic Sea in the distance.

Lt: „Egle, neik per toli,“ perspėjo Mantas.
En: “Eglė, don’t go too far,” Mantas warned.

Lt: Jis jautėsi atsakingas už visą klasę.
En: He felt responsible for the entire class.

Lt: Jo balsas buvo tvirtas, bet viduje kankino abejonės.
En: His voice was firm, but inside he was tormented with doubts.

Lt: „Ką darysiu, jei kažkas nutiks?“ jis galvojo.
En: “What will I do if something happens?” he thought.

Lt: Eglė norėjo daugiau.
En: Eglė wanted more.

Lt: Jai buvo smalsu.
En: She was curious.

Lt: Jos akys spindėjo.
En: Her eyes gleamed.

Lt: „Mantas, turiu eiti ten,“ ji parodė į kopas tolumoje.
En: “Mantas, I need to go there,” she pointed towards the distant dunes.

Lt: „Noriu rasti kažką ypatingo. Noriu tai įrodyti tau.“
En: “I want to find something special. I want to prove it to you.”

Lt: „Eglė, tai pavojinga,“ atsakė Mantas.
En: “Eglė, that’s dangerous,” Mantas replied.

Lt: Bet Eglė jau žingsniavo pirmyn.
En: But Eglė was already stepping forward.

Lt: Jos širdis plakė greičiau.
En: Her heart beat faster.

Lt: Ji žinojo, kad miškai ir kopos slepia daug paslapčių.
En: She knew that the forests and dunes hid many secrets.

Lt: Ji norėjo atrasti kažką, ko niekas dar nematė.
En: She wanted to discover something no one had ever seen.

Lt: Ji norėjo įrodyti sau ir Mantui, kad gali būti drąsi.
En: She wanted to prove to herself and to Mantas that she could be brave.

Lt: Mantas giliai atsiduso.
En: Mantas sighed deeply.

Lt: Jis jautėsi pykčio ir rūpesčio mišinys.
En: He felt a mix of anger and concern.

Lt: „Negaliu jos ten palikti,“ jis murmtelėjo pats sau ir sekė iš paskos.
En: “I can’t leave her there,” he muttered to himself and followed her.

Lt: Jo širdis drebėjo, nes jis nebuvo įsitikinęs, ar elgiasi teisingai.
En: His heart trembled because he wasn’t sure if he was doing the right thing.

Lt: Jie ėjo vis gilyn į kopas.
En: They went deeper into the dunes.

Lt: Saulė kankino savo karščiu.
En: The sun tormented them with its heat.

Lt: Oro kvapas buvo lengvai druskingas, sumaišytas su pušų aromatu.
En: The air had a slight salty smell, mixed with the aroma of pine.

Lt: Staiga, dangus ėmė tamsėti.
En: Suddenly, the sky began to darken.

Lt: Pakilo stiprus vėjas.
En: A strong wind picked up.

Lt: Smėlis pradėjo suktis aplink juos.
En: Sand started swirling around them.

Lt: Prasidėjo smėlio audra.
En: A sandstorm began.

Lt: „Egle, grįžkime!“ sušuko Mantas.
En: “Eglė, let’s go back!” shouted Mantas.

Lt: Bet smėlis įsisiurbė į jo burną ir gerklę.
En: But sand got into his mouth and throat.

Lt: Jo balsas buvo sunkiai girdimas.
En: His voice was barely audible.

Lt: Eglė taip pat jautė baimę.
En: Eglė also felt fear.

Lt: Smėlis akinančiai sukosi.
En: The sand spun blindingly.

Lt: Bet kartu su ja jautėsi ir Mantas.
En: But alongside it, she felt Mantas.

Lt: „Turiu vėl įrodyti, kad galiu,“ ji galvojo.
En: “I have to prove I can,” she thought.

Lt: Bet savijauta greitai keitėsi.
En: But her feelings quickly changed.

Lt: Ji pasiklydo.
En: She became lost.

Lt: Jos širdis plakė iš baimės.
En: Her heart beat with fear.

Lt: Mantas buvo šalia, bet abu negalėjo matyti kelio atgal.
En: Mantas was beside her, but both could not see the way back.

Lt: „Egle, turiu planą!“ sušuko Mantas.
En: “Eglė, I have a plan!” shouted Mantas.

Lt: Jis tvirtai laikė ją už rankos.
En: He held her hand firmly.

Lt: „Eime kartu ir suraskime kelią.“
En: “Let’s go together and find the way.”

Lt: Jo balsas dabar buvo stiprus ir pasitikintis.
En: His voice was now strong and confident.

Lt: Jie ėjo kartu, žingsnis po žingsnio.
En: They walked together, step by step.

Lt: Vėjas buvo stiprus, bet jie nepasidavė.
En: The wind was strong, but they did not give up.

Lt: Po kurio laiko pamatė kažką pažįstamo.
En: After some time, they saw something familiar.

Lt: Medžiai ir sūpuoklės ant jų žymėjo jų grupės susitikimo vietą.
En: Trees and swings on them marked their group’s meeting point.

Lt: Jie buvo išgelbėti.
En: They were saved.

Lt: Grupė džiaugėsi pamačiusi juos sugrįžtant.
En: The group rejoiced upon seeing them return.

Lt: Eglė jautėsi pavargusi, bet tuo pat metu laimingai.
En: Eglė felt tired but at the same time happy.

Lt: Ji žinojo, kad atrado daugiau nei tik ypatingą vietą – ji atrado savo stiprybę.
En: She knew she had discovered more than just a special place — she had discovered her strength.

Lt: Mantas žiūrėjo į ją su nauja pagarba.
En: Mantas looked at her with newfound respect.

En: He realized that sometimes it is necessary to let others lead the way.
