Thekku Vadakku, an upcoming comedy-drama film, is directed by Prem Shankar. S Hareesh, the screenwriter of Lijo Jose's Churuli and Jallikattu movies, also wrote this script. He was inspired by his own short story, Rathri Kaaval. The principal performers were National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vinayakan, who gained notoriety for his stint in prison.
In supporting roles were Shameer Khan, Kottayam Ramesh, Melvin Babu, and Vineeth Vishwam. The project was financially supported by Anjana Talkies and VARS Studios.
