Stammering and having a stammer can be a real confidence killer, and people will and do go to great lengths to try to avoid it happening or to hide it.
Stammering avoidance was something that I did on a regular basis during the eighteen years when I had a stammer, as I explain in this episode.
I knew that I could not continue to act this way, and this is why I was so determined to overcome the stammer which I managed to successfully do at the age of 22.
