Story Transcript:

It: Nella luminosa e vivace Piazza del Duomo, dove c'è sempre un'emozione nell'aria, viveva un giovane uomo di nome Giovanni.
En: In the bright and lively Piazza del Duomo, where there is always excitement in the air, lived a young man named Giovanni.

It: Molti lo conoscevano come un ragazzo vivace, un po' stravagante e sempre pronto a fare uno scherzo.
En: Many knew him as a lively and somewhat eccentric boy, always ready to play a prank.

It: Ancora nessuno sapeva che quel mezzogiorno avrebbe coinvolto nell'ennesima sua bravata Sofia, una bellissima ragazza di origine spagnola appena arrivata in città.
En: Little did anyone know that on that particular noon, Sofia, a beautiful girl of Spanish origin who had just arrived in town, would become part of his latest mischief.

It: Mentre il sole si stendeva generoso sulla pietra calda, Giovanni era intento a riempire il secchio alla Fontana di Trevi, situata proprio di fronte al Duomo.
En: As the generous sun shone down on the warm stones, Giovanni was busy filling a bucket at the Trevi Fountain, located right in front of the Duomo.

It: Aveva in mente di dare una lezione ad un suo amico, che purtroppo per lui era famoso per la sua cattiva abitudine di fare scherzi pesanti.

It: Il piano di Giovanni era semplice: spruzzare un po' d'acqua a lui appena passava davanti alla Fontana.

It: Nel frattempo, dalla parte opposta della piazza, Sofia, con i suoi occhi scuri e vividi e i capelli lunghi di un nero profondo, si mostrava affascinata dalla bellezza del Duomo.
En: Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the square, Sofia, with her dark and lively eyes and long, deep black hair, admired the beauty of the Duomo.

It: Ma ecco che il destino volle che Sofia si incamminasse proprio nella traiettoria dell'acqua che Giovanni stava per spruzzare.

It: E quando Giovanni vide un'ombra avvicinarsi, senza indugio, sollevò il secchio e diede un energico colpo, spruzzando l'acqua.
En: And when Giovanni saw a figure approaching, without hesitation, he lifted the bucket and gave it a strong swing, spraying the water.

It: Ma invece che lo sguardo sorpreso e divertito del suo amico, Giovanni vide una figura femminile tremare sotto l'acqua, con i vestiti completamente bagnati.
En: But instead of seeing the surprised and amused face of his friend, Giovanni saw a female figure trembling under the water, her clothes completely soaked.

It: Era Sofia, con una espressione di totale sbalordimento sul viso.
En: It was Sofia, with a look of complete astonishment on her face.

It: Giovanni, subito si sentì in colpa.
