The message on "The Talebearer" is a spin off of the message on "The Spirit of Offense." If you haven't heard that message, you will need to listen to it. This teaching will deal with the gossiper and how they can easily make themselves look good by making others look bad.
Ephesians 4:31 (AMP)
31 Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).
Proverbs 16:28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
The word "talebearer" is the same as "gossiper." Other words for the "talebearer" or "gossiper" are:
1). Busybody - meddling or prying person
2). Tattlers - a person(s) who tattles (1 Tim. 5:13)
3). Gossip-monger - a person who habitually passes on confidential information or spreads rumor's.
4). Scandalmonger - a person who stirs up public outrage toward someone or their actions by spreading rumors, or malicious gossip. Go to Exodus 23:1; Lev. 25:17
5). Flibbertigibbet - a frivolous, flighty, or excessively talkative person; see 2 Tim. 2:16 *personality trait of Jezebel
6). Whisperer - a person who whispers or "whispering's"
